Sell on Consignment

If you have antique, vintage, unusual or valuable items that you want to sell but don’t know how or where to do so, we are more than happy to take on your items and sell them for you.

We will display and promote your item(s) to the best of our ability, keeping them clean and presentable for the period that they remain on the premises.

We keep good records of all transactions and status of consigned goods so you can trust us with your valuables.

We take on an item for a period of 6 months, do research about the item to find the best retail price, market and display it to give it the best chance of being sold. If after this period, if it does not sell then you can collect the item or discuss options for amending the item to increase the chances of selling it.

Maker keeps 25% of the agreed upon retail price (that’s a mark up of 33.33%) after VAT.

We make payment at the end of every month (before the 7th of the following month).

As a registered second hand goods trader, we are required by law to keep all ID numbers and copies of ID documents of all the people from whom we have obtained second hand goods.

We can make arrangements at your cost to collect any items you wish to sell, or you can have them delivered to our retail store.

If an item sells, we make arrangements with the client to deliver the item to their location.

If an item does not sell after 6 months, we can make arrangements at your cost to deliver the items to you, or you can have them collected. If we have to store the item after this period, we will charge a monthly storage fee. If the storage fee goes unpaid after 6 months, the item will be donated to a charity shop of our choosing.

Should the item(s) need to be repaired or refurbished prior to sale, the costs for this work and associated materials will be deducted from the payout amount. However, if the items remains unsold, the consignee takes full responsibility for the costs or any repair work done. Arrangements for this must be discussed before delivery to the shop premises.

You are welcome to market or sell your item on other platforms too (i.e. your own website or social media) – please inform us if the item(s) sell there so that we can mark it as sold.

Should the item(s) be damaged/lost in transit or while on the retail premises, we accept no responsibility for this damage and are not beholden to reimburse you.

Should the item(s) be shop-lifted or stolen in the course of operating hours, we are not obligated to remunerate you for this loss.

Should you pass away before the item can be sold, we will make a payment to the executor of your estate or return the item to them.

Please include estimated values of each item
