Items for refund must be returned within 1 week after delivery/collection of item. Courier fees are to be paid by the customer and the item(s) must be properly packaged. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received. Broken items will be reviewed before a refund is issued. No “made-to-order” products may be returned.
If a payment was made with a credit card, the refund will be issued to that card unless otherwise specified. Banking details must be supplied for repayments to be made by EFT.
Sale items will not be refunded.
No refunds will be issued for digital products.
We will gladly exchange any item that is in the condition in which it was sent. Courier fees are to be paid by the customer and items to be packaged properly.
There are multiple secure credit/debit/online EFT options available during checkout. Should you select to pay by EFT (electronic funds transfer), the item will not be shipped until the funds reflect in our bank account. POP (proof of payment) can be sent to info@makermakes.co.za.
When paying by EFT, be sure to select Capitec Business and not Capitec.
Depending on the shipping method of choice, please allow 2 to 10 working days for items to be delivered.

No free shipping for furniture items
Typically, no international orders are accepted. However, we can make arrangements to send items abroad at the cost of the customer. Please note, this includes the following:
- Shipping fees (quote to be obtained prior to purchase)
- Insurance on shipped goods
- Import duties on arrival in destination country
There are no returns allowed on internationally shipped items.
All items are subject to price change at any given point in time without prior notification.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the services offered (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the any services offered.
In the case of once-off items (antique, vintage, certain handmade products), there is only one stock item available in each case. If there is an item that has already been sold, we can assist in sourcing a similar item but do not guarantee a positive result.
With regard to repeat or made-to-order items that are out of stock, please anticipate a delay on receipt of goods. These items can be back ordered and a notice will be issued once the item has come back into stock.
All stock items are taken from the physical shop floor (located in Stanford, Western Cape). Items are inspected prior to shipment and should there be any damage due to wear-and-tear, contact will be made to confirm the order.
No responsibility is taken for the materials or quality of certain products. In some cases, products are sourced from local wholesalers where the manufacture of those goods cannot be inspected and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Where possible, the materials and origin of products is disclosed.
Due to the nature of digital photography and e-commerce, the colours and textures of products may differ from how they are represented on the website. Every effort is made to reflect the products as accurately as possible in both the photographs and the descriptions but variations are possible and must be taken into consideration when ordering via this online store.
Some photographs are taken with the use of additional props (foliage, staged mounting, backdrop cloth, etc). Products are sold excluding any props.
All antique and vintage items are inspected for flaws and defects prior to sale and these defects are disclosed in the descriptions of the items. Due to the nature of antique and vintage items being second-hand, they are sold voetstoots (as is). While every effort is made to package the item securely for transport, no responsibility is taken for damage that may occur en route or while unpacking the item.

Some of the products available on this website may have been restored prior to sale. If the restoration was conducted by ourselves, this information is disclosed. Similarly, if it is apparent that any item procured has undergone restoration, this information is disclosed.

Made-to-order items take approximately 10-15 working days to be completed. Thereafter they are shipped. You will be notified once the item is completed and shipped.
No made-to-order items may be returned.

Consistency in fabrics or continuation of fabric ranges cannot be guaranteed.
Some stocked products are made in South Africa and in those cases, that information is specified. Products are sourced from a wide array of suppliers and the origin of a product cannot always we supplied or guaranteed.
Certain products contain natural ingredients or ingredients that have a limited shelf life or that may cause a reaction. No responsibility is taken for any damages caused due to the use of these products. If you experience a reaction, cease using the product immediately and seek medical attention.
Products are checked prior to shipment and we reserve the right to refuse exchanges on products containing natural ingredients that are defective.
